Covid has had a huge effect.Not only the stimulus from governments (particularly Europe),but also the U.S and other countries realizing they need alternative supplies ie not relying on China.Governments see the electrification as a way of stimulating the economy in a new direction.Not to mention people enjoying the fresh air , who would want to go back to smog choked cities.
