Forgot to add, as well as the purchase/lease of land for at least three of the projects interconnect has been applied for in relation to those three sites and Canada Infrastructure Bank has introduced the FEED Accelerator Program to provide up to 50% of FEED funding on attractive commercial terms and possible financial participation in projects.

KPO has received advice that their projects appear to meet the criteria for that program which would equate to around $18m in funding that they don't need to source from funding partners, or could be used to advance more projects in tandem. Current proposal was to advance 2 projects through the FEED stage.

The final CERs were last stated as being expected by November 2024 however there is pressure on the Canadian government to provide them earlier. Finalised regulations are published every 2nd Wednesday in the Canada Gazette with the last gazette published on 19/6/2024.

Saddle Hills is shovel ready just awaiting finance, and will need to get an amendment to the gas plant approved by the Alberta Utilities Commision. KPO currently has an extension to submit an amendment application by 30/4/2025 whilst awaiting the final regulations.
