Sure, I dont disagree. But its a bit of a nothing statement. People also bought A2M at $20+, Valeant at $270+, Avita Health at $15+, and thousands of other examples.

People have been buying shares at large valuations only for them to drop away since markets began. They will still be doing so until markets aren't a thing. Sometimes the shares end up making them money regardless.

A "bad" company can fly in valuation to the upside; and a "good" company can plunge to the downside.

It isn't just gullible retail, either. The big players get things wrong all the time, too.

Im sure everyone here has done it on one company or another... I have. And yeah, hopefully leassons are taken from all decisions, successful and otherwise.

The attention on BRN is ridiculous, but I guess understandable. It was the busiest forum on HC, so lots of low hanging fruit to troll for reactions. And a lot of the posters here were very, very easy to bait.

There has been more than a little obnoxious lunacy and at times downright fantasy from the pro-BRN crowd as well.

If only the debate could be grounded in what matters. No one gets it right all the time on the markets, and no one knows exactly where a company will go or when. If you only read this forum though, you'd think almost every one knew exactly that all the time.

It is pure black and white on this forum, and anyone with even a passing interest in the market knows its all grey area. You can analyse in countless ways, and all it gives are indications that may or may not hold. And choose a different analysis and get a different indication.

The rubbish here is painful to read for those that aren't caught up in the trolling game or general internet forum one-upping. It seems to be 99% of what people visit this forum for.

It isn't about BRN here, this forum is now about the personalities inhabiting the forum. And there are some absolute doozies here, that's for sure.
