    Do you really think people in their 50's will return to productive capacity with a 1.2% mortality rate? Do you think they will notice in the paper that people in their cohort are dying? The flu has a 0.1% population wide mortality rate so that is many magnitudes higher in an age group previously without such risk.

    Fear will rule just as it will for younger groups. These are the generations who have gone vegan and chase healthy lifestyles. I suspect they won't feel enamoured of your enforced herd thinning so we can trade stocks in lockdown. Have you spoken to younger people or just looked through the window at them?
