This was posted on the other site by a poster named Jimmy, goodonya Jimmy, it basically backs up what I have said, if metalstorm are ready with the 3GL and it's ammo when the DMO places a request for tender for a capability gap upgrade then they will be considered, and seeing as how we all know they are the best by a factor of three, then they will be chosen in my opinion.

Hi all, I know I promised to not post again but I cant help myself. To all the faithful here and on that other site HC, this may clear up somethings or erase false reports that the Australian defence force had no interest in metal storm.
This is a copy of an email I received today in regard to my query about the soldiers on the ground in Afghanistan not having access to metal storm weapons specifically the 3GL.
[]Dear Mr XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Thank you for your e-mail of 19 October 2010 to the Minister for Defence, the Hon Stephen Smith MP, concerning the Australian weapons company Metal Storm. The Minister has asked the Department of Defence to respond on his behalf.
Defence continually reviews the weapons systems available in the marketplace in order to meet the strategic needs of the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Currently there are several projects examining the future weapons system requirements for the ADF.
Metal Storm and other companies will have the opportunity to respond to tenders when the Department of Defence approaches the market. Defence notifies industry of tenders through the Austender website.
The Defence Materiel Organisation remains committed to equipping and sustaining the ADF to meet our operational and strategic requirements for the future.
Your interest in Defence matters is appreciated.
Yours sincerely
