Customers line up for NT supply (Nov 18)
A tender process is underway to construct a $A1.3 billion pipeline to supply Northern Territory (NT) gas to the national grid. Firms from Japan, Canada and the US are interested in the construction contract, as is Australia's APA Group. NT Chief Minister Adam Giles reports that several gas supply contracts are being negotiated with manufacturers in Australia's south. Qenos eyes NT gas after Santos (Nov 14th)
CEO Jonathan Clancy reveals that Qenos is to commence talks with a Northern Territory gas supplier. The plastics manufacturer, which is controlled by China National Energy Corporation, has also extended its ethane contract with Origin Energy and Santos. Clancy notes that the gas volumes required by Qenos's Botany plant exceed those of the ethane contract.
