You don't seem to understand that vmm has fallen a lot more compared to mei.
1 july 2024: vmm = 1.23, mei = 16c. Ratio is 7.7:1
today: vmm = 48.5c, mei = 12.5c. Ratio is 3.9:1
or in even more simpler terms, vmm has fallen 60% while mei has only fallen 21% this financial year.
why has vmm underperformed vs mei? I suggest a big reason for that is ixr selling off its 2.4m shares in vmm in September and October.
