I guess we also overlook that the replanting of trees will be one of the greater absorbers of carbon -- whilst the trees that have been cut down and used for lumber - won't release carbon

but, I guess - we don't want to know about that one

They won't release carbon till the lumber has its use by date then when it burns or rots the Co2 will go back up the atmosphere.
