Cutting public service comes at a cost, page-3

    I find this totally unsurprising.


    Why would someone work in public service at the salaries they pay - and, pay full tax - when, one can do say 100 days consultancy a year at far higher earning rates per hour and have the tax benefits of running one's own business.

    If one has the skills ------------- working for government as an employee has whiskers on it.


    Accountancy and economics are obvious areas - but, so is IT as highlighted.


    If you are good -- the public service would be a dead end.
