Your point is valid if Cousins went about his business played footy and did his own thing. However, he hangs out with organised crime, been arrested multiple times, gets caught in organised crime probes etc etc. The AFL is big business and Cousins is a liability. The last thing the AFL or the Eagles want is bad publicity.
