Hi white knight, no this wont count towards the trial, the trial is double blinded meaning both the doctor giving the drug and the patient taking the drug dont know if they are getting the real drug or a placebo. The patients in Dubai would be paying cold hard cash for the product which at this stage is not clinically proven to work yet.
However, a good clinical response in patients in Dubai could see the publication of case series studies, simple poster presentations at conferences and word of mouth recommendations from one doctor to another. This could help to get the word out there in the medical community prior to (fingers crossed) the positive outcome of the large double blinded placebo controlled multicentre study.
