can someone please define the exact line between an investor and a trader. If you bu ANZ and never sell and live off the divs you are clearly an investor. If you buy a spec stock at 10 am and sell it at 10.45am you are definately a trader.

How do you define the group that buys an emerging spec stock at the embryonic stage, does not trade for points but hangs on for 6-12 months as the good news story unfolds, They then take their profits and move on to the next such stock.
