Ironfist - glad you've come to terms with having to dump some stock and move on. It IS tough trading for a living - but no-one said it was easy!!

It should be VERY easy to just make 500 a week though.
Find about a dozen stocks that regularly range trade and make a point of looking for an entry at the low regularly, and exit near the high. There should be at least one of these a week, and then if you have half your capital in a long termer like CVI that is going to grow with you - you really are laughing.

So never tie up ALL your trading funds in a stock. Keep some liquid and ready. You don't need much of a move on a stock if you throw 20 grand in to make 500 bucks!
Just be prepared to take losses early if it doesn't go your way, and take extra if they are still going up -

Always try to keep your investment stocks and your trading stocks separate, because as teefer has pointed out many times, a stock that is 'molested' by traders won't move up as quickly as one tightly held with a solid register.

We all go through having to bash ourselves around now and again and take a refresher course in discipline, but if you can be true to yourself and keep some morals, you will make plenty and feel good about it!
Nothing worse than making money from someone elses misery, if you want to sleep easy at night!
It's one of the reasons teefer has stopped posting on most of his trading stocks. When you're new in the market though, it takes a while to fit into your niche and be comfortable.

You seem to have some good charting skills - so look for the ones with good price and volume increases to trade, they are liquid enough to get in and out pain free!
If your programme has a scanning parameter, you can easily find ones that are triggered in open channel movement too (common trading range)

That should keep you busy over the weekend!
Hopefully next week, all the CVI team will be back in their respective holes, and we should hear in the front end of hte week what they achieved.....but if it's good, hold out for the full story, not a quick gratification trade.

This could be your long term comfort stock..(the millionaire ticket) if they carry off all the projects successfully that they are trying to.

Should be a very exciting March - starting early!
The CVI team have obviously had an exciting February - now it's our turn to hear about it!
