The fundamental problem and risk with CVI is that the company has a history of releasing large parcels of stock at a published premium over the current market SP. They go on and make glowing announcements about their new shareholders inferring that the new shareholder is an insto with long terms views, etc. Then as soon as the stock is released the new buyer starts dumping them down into the market at what ever the buyers will pay until it is obvious that the parcel has gone.

This is an extremely suspicious activity and gives the impression that the original parcel of shares was in fact not paid for by the buyer, rather that the issuer of the shares simply gave them to freindly entities to dump on the market for all they can get.

Herein is your risk as a holder, recently a number of very large parcels of shares were issued and it would apprear based on history now only a matter of time until those buyers unleash the stock onto the markt thereby driving the price down to whatever the buyers will pay. Such a situation could easily see the SP erode down as low as .001 in coming months.

This is the root of shareholder discontent in this stock and why the collective have fromed to call for an EGM to investigate this apparent practice.

Of course, any stock is tradeable and this one is no different, but you would need to keep a hawk eye on it's trading progress and your finger well and truly on the trigger.

The reason that CVI is currently trading at 1.xx cents at present has absolutely ZERO to do with the global financial crisis & 100% to do with the above activities. When it was trading around 20-25c a few months back the market was in boom and all the great announcements CVI put out were fueling it's SP growth, however, as it apeared that they were doing a controlled share dump the SP eroded and many here on this HC were simply baffled and could not understand or accept this for what it was as outlined above.

I wish you the best in your endeavours, if you research this thread (this will take an extreme amount of time & energy) you will see all it's glorious history.
