"Wood Mackenzie's 15th Annual Global Exploration Summit was held in June, Vancouver, Canada. Announced Santos (and partner, Carnarvon Petroleum) as the winners of the 2018 Discovery of the Year Award for the Dorado discovery in the Bedout Basin.This award is based on a survey of exploration industry opinion, with over 250 senior business leaders and experts voting for the discovery that they considered to be the most exciting of the year. Runners up were ExxonMobil (Hammerhead in Guyana) and Chevron (Ballymore in the US Gulf of Mexico)."
