Sounds like you have your head on straight. I never allow myself to regret cutting a loss quickly, no matter what happens after. All I need to do is look back at my earlier trading days and look at some of the ones I should have cut quicker. I've even grown to enjoy it now.
Nevertheless, was a disappointing start to the day. I closed my position manually at open with a small gain. Had a falling sell order in place much higher, that was never triggered because of the gap. I will analyse my trade from start to finish when I've had some rest to see if it could have been managed better. It was such a beautiful chart, a real shame.
Another story for the fundamental investors... can't comment there
