The pop-out- of- the- box strategy is just one of the successful methods of following price action in an uptrend while benefiting if price happens to turn downwards. This strategy is explained here. sometimes these trends can be followed for weeks, months or years depending on the timeframe used on charts. Another thing when people use the terms buy or sell it is better to think in terms of enter or add to long positions or lighter long positions because incremental buying and selling of stocks is far more beneficial than buying and selling 100 per cent of a position.
