With those shorts, if they are market shorters, I would agree that the unwinding would put a tremendous on the SP.
However it looks increasingly like they might be just Meridian's ploy to cap and buy, which means then that they don't really care, because what they lose on the shorts is peanuts compared to what they saved on the actual buy price.
News overdue now, else we'll have to wait for 31st July.
