They did the director token buys, about all the signaling they could probably do with just warm fuzzy optimism that the worst of the news was out - they'd look pretty silly and worse if they put out a firm prediction of better production to come at this stage. Regaining credibility at this stage will only happen slowly and must follow actual production upturn.
