Interesting recent shorts data. During a 8 day period to 4/2/21 when the SP fell new shorts averaged around 300,000 per day. Over next 4 days this dwindled to 40,000 per day. So shorters not keen to chase SP down too far. Over the initial 8 day period total outstanding shorts remained static. So either new shorters or existing shorters are both shorting and buying. Music to my ears as there's still 46m shorts outstanding, a mere 1.5m less than at start of 2021.
