The three major U.S. stock market indexes rose in a reversal from last week’s rout, as investors seemed to expect the Federal Reserve and other central banks to step in to minimize the economic impact of the coronavirus outbreak.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 722 points, or 2.8%. The S&P 500 climbed 2.5% and the Nasdaq Composite gained 2.5%.
