people are waiting on the side lines until they can see things have bottomed out. once the relentless selling slows, we will see buyers returning in big numbers. Risky buying in a down trend, and people are pretty risk averse these days....
picking when it has bottomed has given way to waiting until turned around and heading back up.
It is a definite bargain at these levels, but I thought that at 48, 45, 42.......
