Following the good results yesterday from Clearview (CVW) yesterday, it seems that MacquarieCapital has quietly got itself in the box seat for a tilt at the company as Crescent Capital is looking to offload its 47% stake in the company. Seems that Macquarie is not alone in its desire to put its foot on the financial planning group.
Yesterday they also gave Clearview some coverage and reported their result as below
Great result today from ClearviewWealth (CVW) unchanged despite profit soaring 89% to $23.6m. Core life insurance profits rose 60% to $24.5m and the company raised its final dividend to 2.5c fully franked.
The stock is up 7.5% today. Does anyone have any other information as to what could be going on? Is something going on?
