But it seems that market conditions for apartments in Perth are really good at the moment.
According to a recent article from Perth Now, Perth vacancy rate has decreased to the lowest level in 13 years to 0.93 % (source : REIWA data). As a result, rents on new leases are increasing. However, investors remain cautious due to emergency tenant laws which are preventing evictions and a rent increase on existing tenancies.
This looks like a sharp contrast with what's happening in Sydney and Melbourne, where there is a clear deterioration of vacancy rates.
