Sometimes there appears to be no reason behind moves.

With a number of lithium stocks joining the ASX300 in the rebalance, the I'd expect more dedicated lithium analysts to emerge within the brokerage houses. This should improve coverage for all of the sector, including potential new ASX300 entrants. With the compelling growth story that exists, it should continue to draw more investment monies into the sector pushing up the share price of existing stocks and helping those needing to raise capital.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the buying today was a new major broker sharing it report with key clients. This would explain why Core moved more than other lithium stocks despite no trigger announcement.
