I think Jock, that its not that they are being untruthful. I think that they were being cautious as to what at hand figures they had. Some people might be shooting their mouths off before they have the facts to hand but it seems that they, the 4DS crew are not shooting their mouths off when they don't have all the figures to hand.
You can look back to the old CEO Van Den Hoek....for his opinion and his was.........that it was to replace DRAM. He said it......from memory.... in one of his interviews.
That is why I was very surprised when the current CEO said it was to compliment DRAM.

Why the split in thoughts?

I think it is, one being more cautious than the other and maybe keeping their cards closer to their chest.
