Couldn't agree more!
We have made a double mistake over the past 20 years. We haven't used to mining boom to go downstream in production.
We haven't used our fortune to build new sectors of the economy.
Unlike goods production, software tech and biotech are ridiculously easy to export and we have a lot of talent here in Australia to create amazing new tech!
I find it endlessly frustrating to see us take the easy route every time and not take the opportunity to build great companies with the potential to be Global Champions
