Bicycles should be registered, and should carry identification. When I was very young I remember bicycles had a number plate attached.
As long as these morons in Lycra can escape identification on their cycles they will continue to endanger them selves and every other road user.
How are we as motorists supposed to give these temporary Australians a metre space when they ride up along side us? There is no way to identify them, just another idiot on a push bike is all we can put it down to.
It is amazing too how many of these cyclists now have a camera attached to their helmets, is that so they can record their amazing cycling achievements, or an attack on motorists that they get in the way of?
I have zero patience with the clowns, it should be compulsory that they fit a rear view mirror if they wish to ride on the road, and be law they make way for motorised vehicles to pass at all times and any time. They should also be fined for riding two abreast on a roadway or obstructing traffic just for starters...
