watso was just thinking that, and then read your post. watso recalls a little number plate hanging from the seat from his fathers "fixed wheel" treadly - and having been told that bikes had to be registered
only a couple of weeks ago, watso had "head on prang" with a incompetant woman cyclist. we were both idly cycling towards each other, on a cycle way, and there was a bit of a blind spot (a bend in the cycle way, with a few trees obscuring things) - upon noticing the oncoming cyclist, watso veered to his left - trouble is the oncoming cyclist veered to her right - and crash bang - watso's bike was a write off - even the frame buckled. -
it probably would have felt better if she had offered to "smooth things over" in an appropriate way
