That comment is illogical. By your analysis if you want to run you would have to go to a running track and if you want to drive a car you should do so at a race track . By the way cycling is not just a hobby , many kids ride bikes to get to school , others ride to get to work , others do so for work to do deliveries ( posties etc. ) and those many many thousands that ride for exercise / recreation often do so on tracks / roads provided by councils and governments to do so . Better than going to the pub to get boozed or just using a car because one is too lazy to exercise . Suggest you take the blinkers off and get into the real world .
