    hanrahan Thanks!

I am 60 kilometers below it as the crow fly.Where it will hit.
Big range of mountains between us, and if it goes inland all should be good.
We have had a couple of showers, about 5mls.
Wind is gusting to about 10knots.

Two hours ago completely blue sky to the east, but closed in a bit now.

As I look north over the Daintree valley, I see intense clouds left of that line of sight. That is good, I think.
We are hoping it does not come down the coast.

I have witnessed numerous cyclones over the years and my experience has been, the position is always 40 to 50 kilometers ahead of any news media or BOM.
That is, looking at the circle of clouds of intensity.

Have plenty of gas, a 2Kva inverter generator from the Government, due to a cyclone a couple of years ago. We had no power for 3 days and were entitled to $2000, which I invested into a generator.
Have my own water supply. 30,000 litre tank on gravity.

I live in a block home designed by my mate who is a civil engineer, "God bless him". Designed to 72 metre per sec wind.
That is 12 metres above the standard.

    cheers
