It was a wierd afternoon here in Townsville.
Went for a drive to get a slab of "essential cyclone supplies". The birds seem to have gone home (wherever that is), we had patchy, but pretty solid, cloud cover, patches of rain about 100m across and a generally eerie quiet.
I've lived here long enough pick the signs but newcomers probably wouldn't.
Probability is that Larry will cross the coast north of us and we will be spared, but I wish no harm on my neighbours. No soldier has ever wished harm on his mate either, but he must surely be thankful when the mate copped the bullet, not he.
If anyone from north of here is reading this, take care. I will be thinking of you.
