What a big fat nothing burger, they still talking it up like its another Yasi. Anyone that has been through a few knows a cat 1 is really just a bad storm. JTWC has it crossing with estimated winds of 45kts possibly 50kts if some intensification occurs. 45kts is just scraping into cat 1 from a tropical storm. Again biggest threat is flooding and even that has diminished for Cairns! But I guess you gotta talk it up for the online click bait!!!
