From the bom's current radar image the circulation is already equal to about Mossman, if the track projection of a WNW track continues it will make landfall very near Cooktown!!
For Cairns it will be like an ordinary monsoon rain event!
Should be amusing to see the camera crews in Cairns on this evening's news talk it up from here!
