Media using terms like the "wind is howling".
Jasper is " hammering" the coast.
The "bark is being stripped from trees"
Outright disingenuous reporting.
The bureau's own site at saddle mountain ( Cairns northern beaches) weather station has recorded a maximum wind gust of 70km/h.
The knob on 9 news in Palm cove used the term " stripping bark from trees" , while behind him the trees were hardly moving, what a laugh.
Anyway good excuse for locals to have a few bevvies!
