As snow begins to fall in Ontario, I thought I might review who managed to complete field work in James Bay and better, who found Spod crystals (at least what they believe to be). The results thus far seem to be in keeping with the statistics that not many pegmatites are fertile, as only 4 horses found spod during their initial field work (BNZ, CY5, FIN, LLI). 1 found further spod on previously known project (BUR - to be fair I could put CY5 Auclair in this category bc of the historical hit) and 1 is looking where previous Lithium was found (OLY) but didn't report new finds from their field work (possibly yet). A special mention goes to WR1 for their new spod at their Tilly project, which takes them to 3 projects with spod (Adina, Cancet, Tilly - plus their just under 20% ownership of Power Metals Case Lake project). Will WR1's luck continue with their Sirmac project? Anyway, here's my summary of results so far, (I have put the Commsec MC, it is probably wrong but perhaps a bit of a guide - Triage will have to do the proper MC update):
    • BMM - 9.29m -Corvette North and Corvette NW exploration commenced in May 23, no results reported that I can see - now focused on Ontario George Lithium project, 215km NE Thunder Bay.
    • BNZ -42.5m - August found Spod crystals at Ruby Hill, are going to drill. Its a 25km trend. Have exercised the option to acquire 75%, can potentially get 100%).
    • BUR $21mill- Spod at Chubb, have done 5,194m of drilling.
    • CAZ $11 mill - Sundown fieldwork commenced 18 Oct.
    • CBH - $2.72 mill - 13 September field work completed and 27 Rockchip samples were collected and sent to SGS for assaying. No mention of spod. Note: Ground truthing also revealed several of the previously interpreted dykes were in fact linear glacial deposits commonly referred to as eskers covered in pale to white coloured lichen which makes them difficult to differentiate from outcropping dykes using satellite imagery.
    • C1x - $5 mill, 5 Oct announced fractionated pegmatites at their CFE project. A bit of a doozy as a previous announcement had said they had an outcropping spod containing pegmatite but that turned out to be a lithium rich Beryl that looks like spodumene. It caused what could fairly be described as outrage amongst shareholders, as Cosmos had focused their exploration on this outcrop, which was not one of the high priority targets from the spectral analysis. Field work was supposed to have been conducted at La Salle in Aug but no results have been reported.
    • CY5 - $46 mill - found spod outcrops at Auclair and spod containing boulders. Drilling is occurring and a second drill is supposed to commence at Auclair. Field work at Sakami and work is supposed to resume at Pontax.
    • DAF - $4.22mill - Mia Adjacent acquired from 1 Minerals in June 23. In the September quarterly DAF said they engaged an unnamed geological consultant to do a premilinarly reconnaissance field work programme and that they did attend site to look at a few priority targets. DAF are awaiting a report of this work. no spod found.
    • FIN $16 mill - found spod at Cancet West (near water) not at Ross.
    • FRS - $3 mill - 27 Oct field work commenced at Volta, which they consider their most prospective. (Volta had dropped off my north map, it’s near CBH Carmoy and the eastern tip of PMT). Have done LiDAR.
    • IEC - $6mill, field work complete at Ilama no spod crystals.
    • JBY - $9 mill - Fractionated peg at Aero (had the increase in SP when other coy SP crashed upon similar ann), Helicopter reconnaissance at the 3 projects commenced 9 Oct. Found pegmatite outcrops on Aqua near FINs’ spod outcrop.
    • KNI - $21 mill - Initial field work at Mia North, and Fraser started before the fires. Results were pending June. Field was supposed to recommence after the fires but I haven’t seen any further ann regarding JB.
    • KOB - $7mill, no asx ann but the annual report said they did a 2 week field work reconnaissance at JB1 in Sept 23. All results pending.
    • L1M - $5mill - 17 Oct field work commenced at Dalmas and Hiver.
    • LLI -$40mill - multiple outcrops containing spod at reported at Trieste. Currently drilling.
    • LU7 - $14mill - field work commenced at Apollo on 4 September. No ann since. Seem to be focusing on the Carbonate plant.
    • MEG - $8mill- field work at 30% of Cyclone completed and reported 9 Oct. Fieldwork at K was scheduled to commence Mid Oct, but no ann to confirm it has commenced.
    • MLS - $20mill - 2nd Oct ann MLS found coarse gain pegmatites, sampled submitted for analysis. No results ann yet.
    • MTC - $34mill - 27 Oct found fractionated pegmatites.
    • NYM - $4.5mill - 22 September said field work would commence, no further update yet.
    • OCN - $7mill - field work commenced 17 august. Explo Logic doing works. No results ann.
    • OLY - $9.5mill - 13 oct had just completed some sampling at Cadillac and sent 30 samples for testing from targets that had previously tested positive for Lithium. Results to come and plan to go back toward end of Oct for more field work.
    • OM1 - $3.79mill - did quite a bit of field work both before and after fires but didn’t report spod crystals. Plan to do a couple of drill holes at high priority targets. Now in a TH pending the release of a friendly takeover.
    • PIM - $3.71mill - commenced field work at Adina East (still find it hard to call it that) 19 October. Have since acquired 2 more projects in the south, see updated map.
    • PLN - $8.5mill - field work commenced 27 Oct.
    • PR1 - $4.75m - initial field work in May 23 but didn’t find spod crystals. Field work was resumed 20 Aug, 292 rock chip samples sent to ALS. Not ann yet.
    • RB6 - $8.4m - field work commenced 20 Oct.
    • RBX - $9.51mill - 20 Sept ann multiple pegmatite outcrops at both Wali and Ernst Lake and 84 rock chips had been sent to ALS labs. No ann since. No spod observed.
    • RDS - $6.1mill - 4 Oct ann Axiom had completed field work at existing projects and identified 28 pegmatites. We’ve already shared that they have the JV with Galan for 5 projects, 2 in Ontario and 3 in JB. No field work yet on the 3 JV in JB but the previous owner had performed reconnaissance at the 3 properties and found pegmatites (2 samples with Tantalum).
    • REC - $15.6mill - 18 Oct DG doing field work at Wapistan. Express field work completed and samples sent to SGS for analysis. Will do further field work once those results are received.
    • RGL - $10.46mill - no work that I can see since the option to purchase project (Abigail) was ann; they had 120 days to do dd from 31 Aug. I note they have just ann a decision not to progress with an option on a Mt Holland nearology play and instead focus on their Pilbara tenements. It might be a clue, but I didn’t see an ann. Might get one in the quarterly.
    • SUM - $4.29mill - 5 Sept ann 228 targets from spectral analysis. Field work by Critical Discoveries Corp, began on 12 Sept. Haven’t seen results ann yet.

Interesting (to me at least) that neither OCN or C1X have ann their results in the projects that are near Brunswick’s successful Mirage project.
