Due to overwhelming popular demand - OxBandit asked for it - I've gone early with an updated table. I probably'll do an update for the end of June, which hopefully will have a column for rates of change, and then maybe at the end of each month.
The clear stand-out for the period to Friday has been Recharge Metals which has doubled its market cap in the last few weeks with a couple of land acquisitions. A couple of the tiddlers saw their market caps jump but none went through a step-change such as Recharge has done: Cazaly does earn an honourable mention
Cygnus remains by far the runner in the Cup with the biggest market cap though it is treading water, perhaps until they go drilling at Auclair in July or they release the maiden Pontax MRE either in late July or more likely imo in August. Personally I think the WA rare earth news from Cygnus is a deadset distraction for shareholders and maybe even for management: I would not like to see them divert funds from Quebec to WA.
A couple of requests and clarifications:
1. Remember this is a Cygnus thread so if want to talk about other companies in the running for the Cup try to do so with some context to Cygnus. Should not be too hard as Cygnus is the biggest and most advanced of the group.
2. The numbering system is not to identify companies, that is what the ASX code is for. So please if you want to refer to a company use their ASX code.
3. Remember that to be in the running to win the Cup a company has to start off with a market cap of less than A$100m and has to be looking for lithium in Quebec. Has to be both, and must be Quebec.
4. Also I will scratch any company that has legitimate claims of being a miner in another sector, for instance Benz Mining has been suspended as it gives the appearance of being a legit late stage gold explorer. However were it to belt one over the fence with its lithium work in Quebec then maybe it could be re-included. Rio's worth a mention for its move onto multiple lithium prospects in Quebec but of course it has other irons in multiple fires.
Anyway here is the updated table. Let me know of any stuff-ups.
