Your correspondent left today's AGM in much better spirits than expected.
It was clear that the company does have a credible path to finance and they are working on it. Barry gave a short presentation during which he hammered home the theme that all the value is still there, nothing has changed on the ground, he accepted responsibility for being over confident about the now failed finance via Bonds; he fielded questions during the presentation and generally gave the room a good straight-as-a-die account of where we are. Particularly impressive, was a short talk from Clive Donner, who is clearly going to be a key figure in financing as we go forward, a steady hand/head who knows markets, is how I would describe him.
Unless we get a financial cataclysm, this will be financed, I believe. General chatter had a raise, followed by relisting, followed by project finance; possibly, relisting in three or four months, which is fine by me.
We have a good chance of coming out alive and kicking at the other end of this debacle. I'll keep the faith.
