    "What is the point of showing you can manufacture a lot of a product if the product turns out to be useless?"

    It is my opinion that there is enough data in the public domain in countless scientific reports and from lots of trials to be very confident that MSCs will not be useless.

    I don't hold MSB but if you look at the statistics behind some of their most recent trials I think you can conclude that MSCs (or MSBs mesenchymal linage cells - which are essentially MSCs) are effective. Bad trial design not ineffective cells are the problem with MSB (at the scale that they are at - which is producing enough cells for clinical trials).

    The real question for MSCs isn't will they work - that verdict is largely in - they do, they will (in my opinion - but if you read widely enough I think it would be yours too). But rather are they good enough to be a discrete technology in themselves. Do they warrant being mass produced in their own right or is its simply smarter to make the exosomes and other cytokines (at scale) which together are almost certainly the means by which the MSCs work.
