If Sumitomo want to complement their line of IPSCs with MSCs, they’ve got to go through Cynata. Cynata has the only patents in the world for manufacturing IPSC derived MSCs at commercial scale. They have no other way to market for MSCs unless they use bone marrow etc.... but that’s soooo last year! I can’t see them simply walking away from this. I think a revised bid will come through... but when is the question.
