Just a heads up for those that are not aware. Immutep is in partnership with Cytlimic(Japan)for the development of their peptide vaccine. It was noted in animal trials that Efti significantly enhanced the vaccine efficacy.
This is important because Imugene is a developer of peptide vaccines, Her-Vaxx, Pd-1Vaxx etc. So effectively this trial mimics an Efti trial with an Imugene vaccine.
If it turns out that Efti works with Cytlimic then we are about to make a motza as a peptide vaccine adjuvant which looks increasingly likely to replace the current checkpoint inhibitor antibodies like Keytruda for example. And we already know Efti works wonders with Keytruda .
Efti isn’t just a current paradigm enhancer it potentially significantly enhances the next generation peptide vaccines. Keep an eye on the Cytlimic trial. If positive it will be huge for Immutep.
