I have done my own research, but I do not post scaremongering unsubstantiated claims. My research suggests some changes in desire by countries to control pharma supply chains closer to home. This is already happening in the US and there are bills written by Republican Senators, which, to varying degrees are protectionist and anti-China. The Australian government has complained about not wanting to be reliant on external supplies for critical medicines, devices or supplies. The process to move manufacturing centres and supply chains is immense, logistically, financially, qualitatively and regulatorily.but that is going to take time and finances. This includes generics which a large portion are manufactured in India.

Pharma companies will ask for government support to move manufacturing and supply after outsourcing all levels of the supply chain over the last 20 years or so. This will raise the cost of pharmaceuticals and place further burden on health systems across the world.

In my humble opinion I see no immediate threat to IMM material supply.
