I emailed Kate this afternoon and she replied within an hour. I asked about the attitude of the people in the Czech villages. It is getting better but the problem has been many have the picture in their mind of the old russian ways. Things ARE getting better and attitute varies from village to village and each village permit is independent. Uran will keep pushing and I dont think they are going to give up until they have a win.
Probably the most interesting thing to me (from both articles) was the mention of a decline at Brzkov and a 10 year mine life. As long as there has been enough exploration to map the ore body they could push down a 5x5 decline to the ore in 12 months. Not 3 to 4 yrs. As I have said before Kate is being very conservative in what she says.
As far as I am aware you can mine in the Czech once an exploration permit is issued. Does anyone really think kate is going to advertise the fact in a Czech interview?? Not likley.
