My gut feel having been in a few t.o plays is that yesterday's ploy feels like a classic shake. Don't get me wrong my gut is connected to my bowel and my bowel is seppy the sepo septic, but what else am I going to go on??

So it will move around between the high and low 30s and then there will be a move to mid 40s followed perhaps by a substantial holder notice from RIO. I'm also thinking however that FMG could be in the action. They already hold 10% I think? They will move to hold 19.9% (and do they have to declare any part of of the further 9.9% that I hypothetically predict they will acquire? I'm not actually sure- let me check that). If FMG don't have to declare this might be the best avenue to get this done. i.e - RIO and FMG do some other more important deal in the background with the understanding that FMG buy up to 19.90% which RIO then buy off FMG to go with the 4.9% they already hold. Around the time RIO announce purchase of FMGs 19.9%, RIO also cross trade a big block to get somewhere just somewhere in the vicinity of 30- 40%.

Then they launch a bid into falling iron ore prices and warn holdouts that this is a very good deal in fact, there is deal risk in fact. and holdouts could get their arses fed to them in fact.

And I will sell, having dined enough on my own arse lately.

Just my prediction. (Which could be wrong- please point out where).
