Is this election date going to further delay ALDP decisions? According to the below...highly unlikely. The ALDP is NOT a new grant/funding initiative.

"The Federal Government enters caretaker mode on 12 August preventing it from allocating new grants and funding , suggesting if any announcements are looming for the Valley they would need to be made soon."

Others have brought up the ESI "going concern" again yesterday. Id suggest they are now a one trick b/coal pony too...look at the gold price. If Exergen don't get ALDP - they will have their own "going concern" concerns once this lot of $$ runs out.

Regardless of the recent Monash comments - Forget Monash for the short term at least imo. LT who would know. They have proven to be completely unreliable in anything they utter. As a brief recap:

A year later and Monash essentially said the same thing this week .

Also - Ashleys interview (7 mins in) comment was interesting:

"Monash have not come to conclusion on their financing arrangements....its fair to say that largely all the commercial terms and arrangements are agreed - its simply pending now their conclusion of their own financing arrangements"

Nov 29 2012 - AGM

"In this letter, they have confirmed the availability of the first tranche of funding is available within the next week. However, they have sought to change some of the terms of the placement agreement, and some of these are material and requiring due consideration by the Board....

I can advise that the wholesale funding provider to Monash has confirmed the funding arrangements are proceeding and are unconditional ."


The $$$ was said last Nov to be available "next week"..."Monash has confirmed"...and "proceeding/unconditional"...yet the reality is this week June 26 2013:

"To this end Monash advises the delays are systemic and due to the size and complexity of the funding programs."

In view of Ashleys comments this week and the reality of the last 6 months the Q must be asked - how were the Nov 29 statements ever made...? Was the "tranche of funding is available within the next week" statement(s) really accurate...?

IMO if the Govt want Coldry/Matmor tech bad enough - they will grant ECT $$$ and the private $$ will arrive as needed by others if Monash run out of run way. Soon see.
