the current underground mining costs will be significant until they get their stopes on line - that will be pay day.

One of the other issues difficult to manage with these orebodies is the feast or famine of stope ore.

This is the sequence: drive development, mapping, modelling, stope design, drilling, rising, blasting, haulage.

With small stopes, blasting and haulage takes a relatively short period of time - especially in comparison to drive development. Stope ore is obviously cheaper to mine and higher grade. A flexible mine plan is required, as issues often arise.
