I think most "in the know" folks around civil and military defense have already worked out that drone shooting is not going to be a tactical solution....hence the hype and "try hard" attitude.
D13 has numerous patents and a product related to controlling drones (removing operator control and resolving auto guidance programming) and also protocol manipulation which rates it higher because the mitigating operator can take control of the drone and move the payload away from friendlies and civilians. That is a huge counter point to dropping drones with a drone gun.
Their other patents also raise some interest because they are outside of drones as well.
