''Why aren't there any bad paintings of anyone beloved by the left?''

portraiture is an art ------------ both in painting and in photography

the eye of the artist AND the camera very very often see what most people do not see

a portrait well done, will capture the essence of character - it also captures the emotional state at the time - be that stress or happiness/contentment etc etc

I suggest that the question 'Why aren't there any bad paintings of anyone beloved by the left?'' suggests that you haven't seen many portraits and have little or no understanding of the art - nor how to read a portrait

I also suggest that the artist IMO captured Gina probably very accurately - a person seen at Donald Trump supporter gatherings and also a person who recently spoke about an Australia that was in their opinion, should be based on individualism and not on any characteristics that involved working for one's country or nation

IMO - the artist captured the essence of Gina

it is irrelevant if people 'like it or not'
