This bogan only lived in that area for over 50 years so wouldn't be aware of the giant propeller
that was later erected at Bakers Creek right on the highway. This was well known and talked about here, maybe the Sydney and southern folk may have missed it.
There was a little war on at the time and there were news blackouts as was the practice at the time.
The Yanks were here to assist with holding the Japanese at bay and this is one of the reasons that we still speak mainly English in this little island.
