@johngalt815; Australian taxpayers fork out $Countless $Billions to equip our 'defence forces' with submarines, warships, fighter planes, tanks, missiles, munitions, ordnance etc. We even allow the USA to operate spy bases, airfields and military bases on Australia soil.
It appears that instead of being used to defend Australia we're deploying our hideously expensive 'assets' everywhere except in the Australian Region - why on Earth are Australian warships operating near China instead of throughout our region?
Were we indeed fortunate that China didn't sink what was an Australian sitting duck instead of activating its sonar?
Meantime, Australia's Border Force is about as effective at preventing drug running throughout Australian waters as it was at dealing with the Covid19 Ruby Princess fiasco. Thanks to the strategies driving our 'defence forces' Australia's wealthy elites can still rely on access to plenty of illegal drugs from overseas.
